Rules for Silent Hill 2
General Rules
- Runs must START from the main menu or scenario choice screen.
- You may make saves in the event of a crash but ONLY if the run is streamed.
- Only the creation of saves in the game itself is ALLOWED, the external use of programs (trainers, debug menu) is REJECTED.
- Run done offstream MUST BE single segmented (No Save).
- Major Glitches are forbidden.
- Out of bounds is forbidden.
- Only skin mods are allowed.
- Results screen at the end of the credits will be required in the video, as it’s where the saves and in-game time is finally shown.
- FPS Settings may NOT BE changed during the run
Specific Rules For Silent Hill 2:
- If Maria gets hit by an enemy would be considered as a HIT but not DAMAGE.
- No special weapons are allowed for Any% and Hard% only on NG+.
- If you want to do a “no-intro“, at the beginning of the run, It is required to show the file that is going to be loaded for the run, showing the difficulty mode.
- The run can be started at the second save point of the game (which is just before encountering the first enemy) since it is impossible to take any damage before that point.
- Any type of scream does not count as a hit or damage.
- Failing (by accident or not) the treasure chest from the Hospital quiz does count as DAMAGE.
- You cannot reload any file from the game in the middle of the run unless the game crashed, if so, reload the last AUTOSAVE point you got.
- All results screen at the end of the credits will be required in the video, as it’s where the saves and in-game time is finally shown.
- High contrast mode is allowed.
