Specific Rules for Resident Evil 7
There are many instances of scripted damage in Resident Evil 7.
– All damage instances in cutscenes are unavoidable. The exception to this is Mia’s attack in her first encounter if you initiate the ending segment without fully depleting
her health first.
– The 4 damage you take in the garage fight versus Jack is unavoidable and does not count as an instance of damage.
– In Jack’s third encounter, you must stand by the door at the phase 3 transition to avoid taking damage. If damage is received here, it is considered an avoidable instance.
– To achieve the All Bosses run, you must choose to vaccinate Zoe so that you battle the additional boss on the wrecked ship.
– The following are considered New Game+ items and are NOT allowed: Dirty Coin, DLC Items, Unlockable items including Infinite Ammo, Albert-01R, Circular Saw, The Essence of Defense, The Secrets of Defense, Walking Shoes, and X-Ray Glasses.
– A valid 100% run must include: Destroy all Mr. Everywhere Bobbleheads(20), Pick up all Antique Coins(Any:18 MH:33), Read all Files(32), Use all Stabilizers(2), Use all Steroids(4).
– As of 12 January, 2022, the tentacle hit from Eveline in the final boss must be avoided. This is a new discovery and prevents taking 200 damage. link
– In the ending sequence versus Eveline, you must take only two hits from her screams. Any more than that are considered avoidable instances of damage. (this works consistently at 60fps)
Regarding Extra Modes:
– You can play any of the Banned Footage (Getting caught or restarting in the middle of the run is not allowed).
– For Not A Hero both Normal and Professional difficulties are allowed, unlockables are not allowed.
– For End of Zoe both Normal and Joe Must Die difficulties are allowed, unlockables are not allowed.
– In Jack’s 55th Birthday you can play in any stage but you can only take these weapond and their ammo from the item box: the handgun, shotgun and the knife.
– You are not allowed to use any of the powerups or other weapons (weapons that are find in the stage and not in the item box are allowed example: the machine gun). You are only allowed to achieve A or S rank for a valid run.
– Extra modes are not valid to officially join the team (with the exception of Not A Hero and End of Zoe), but team members can submit extra modes runs for the website.
